Kidz Matter was established in September 2011 as a childcare and educational provision, catering for children from Birth to Five Years of age.
Managing Director Sue Lord has over 25 years practical experience of working in and managing different childcare settings. Sue is professionally qualified within Childcare and Early Years and has completed the Post Graduate Certificate in Integrated Centre Leadership (NPQICL).
After reflecting on her experiences, both good and those not so good, Sue has focussed on the quality of services being offered to children and their families. It is now her intentions to ensure she promotes the highest standards of these practices within Kidz Matter.
We understand how important the people who work at our nursery are to
you and your child.
Our nursery team are carefully selected for their passion, skills,
qualifications, experiences, commitment and positive attitudes to
childcare and demonstrating high levels of customer services. At Kidz
Matter all key positions are held by people with recognised qualifications
and we ensure that we have significantly more qualified team members than the minimum requirement expected by Ofsted.In addition to this some practitioners are qualified to Level 6 and above and/or have either achieved or are working towards gaining Early Years Professional (EYP) / Early Years Teacher status. All staff prior to appointment are subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Check (DBS clearance) and a minimum of two suitable reference confirming their personal good character and work experiences.
We ensure the required ratios are adhered to at all times, and aim to
exceed these by employing super numerate staff, which are staff working directly with the children outside of the required numbers. Ofsted and
EYFS guidelines require the following ratios of staff to children within the nursery:-
1:3 children (0-2 years)
1:4 children (2-3 years)
1:8 children (3+ years)
The Deputy Manager and Early Years Teacher (EYP) are super numerate staffing resources although available to support in the nursery rooms.
